PREhistoric Irish Studies

February 6, 2009

Today on our Irish Studies field trip, we looked at several Wedge tombs that are scattered through out the Burren- Some of the sites have had archaeologists in and excavate the tombs and the area around, but most of the tombs have yet to be fully discovered. The Burren holds about 70 Wedge tombs which is thought to be the most burials in one place anywhere in the world.

We also practiced jumping- as demonstrated by Allegra

FINALLY its starting to feel more like home in my studio. I have a good start on some new work and I actually dont mind spending a lot of time in there. AND when its a mutual break time for everyone we usually end up havin’ some good CRAIC.

TOthe TOP

February 2, 2009

These pictures were taken on different days but at the top of the same mountain. Cappanawalla is the mountain that is directly behind our school. I have hiked to the top several times now. It only takes about 30 to 45 minutes to reach the top. Allegra, Kelsey, Ben and I decided to have a photo shoot at the top one cold, rainy afternoon.
